Platinum Land selected and managed the site purchase; commissioned the design and and achieved planning to turn this old historic library building into residential and community usage.

Planning was successfully achieved despite significant local opposition. Negotiations were entered into with the group of opposing the change of use. As we anticipated these were difficult talks but we came to an agreement as as a result some 88 locals submitted a notice of support for the change of use at the building. This was out of 103 notices submitted.

The change of use now allows for 5 residential units and the retaining of a large community space. The local community may operate a library from the sites community space when redeveloped.

COMPLETED DESCRIPTION

The building now of 5 residential units, including 2 two bed duplexes, 1 one bed duplex and two studios with an additional 186 square meters of community space.
