Market Place High Street Brentford London TW8 8EQ


This building is located in the traditional market square at the heart of the High Street of Brentford, adjacent to the Butts Conversation Area. This was the site of the market in the town for at least 300 years. It housed the County and Magistrates Courts.

Planning was achieved for the conversion into nine high spec residential units and two retail units. Double-height spaces, large terraces and original features including pitch pine trusses formed part of the development. 

Platinum Land selected and managed the site purchase; commissioned the design and successfully achieved planning to turn an historical town hall and court house into residential. Managed the build on time and on budget.


Includes two town houses with own door access, two upper floor penthouses, five high spec apartments, basement storage, a coffee shop and another retail unit. A new courtyard style area is already in place and the front and sides of the building, replacing a previous car park.

Furthermore, Platinum Land is in the process of applying for another one-bed unit at the site in lieu of a retail unit.


The completed development received a commendation from the Civic Trust Awards, due to its exceptional design and quality of build.

The project was also praised in several independent newspaper articles for the quality of the design work and the high spec finishes.
